Wish you were Here by Pink Floyd for sheer beauty, and Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus for never failing to a) make me laugh, b) make me sing very loud and out of tune and c) cheer me up
Varies, depending on my mood, but "The Moon & St. Christopher" by Mary Chapin Carpenter has got to be up there, as has pretty much anything by Mary Black, especially off the "By the Time It Gets Dark" album.
I have 3 favourites. Under pressure by queen/David bowie, drops of jupter by train and just beating yellow by coldplay it's now somewhere only we know by keane.
Mmm i don't have one fave song. My favourite chill out is Jose Padilla's sabor de verano, my fave memory inducing happy song is The Original I luv you baby, and I do love The Darkness, Jet, Strokes and Jamiroquai too.
I always wondered what my favourite song is. The "Top 10" changes every day but I've always considered Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy to be very high up so overall, I would go with that song.
I have to agree with sft42, Comfortably Numb is ranked my number 1, most annoyed that the Scissor Sisters produced a ridiculous version of it though!!!!!
I agree with sft's other one. Shine On by Pink Floyd has to be one of the greatest pieces of music ever! But closely followed by much of their other stuff.
