If you are looking at The Jackson Five, you might be a little off the mark - they are no longer with Motown, and they haven't split up! What happened was that the group left Motown to sign to Epic Records, now part of the Sony empire, but Jermaine Jackson opted to stay with Motown. Because Motown owned the rights to the group name, they were forced to change their name to 'The Jacksons' - and although they reconvene infrequently, the group have never officially disbanded, and there are plans for an album and tour for 2002.
