"September song", written by Maxwell Anderson and Kurt Weill, first appeared in the stage musical "Knickerbocker holiday" in 1938 (Made into a film in 1944). Walter Huston, actor father of film director John Huston,sang the song in the stage musical and his recording became a huge seller which was revived after his death in 1950.
