I don't remember that Muddy Waters named his guitars.
BB King calls each of his signature black Gibsons Lucille after an incident, when he was young, that nearly cost him his life.
There is only one Lucille - BB has had her since 1949.
The story is, BB was playing a juke joint with an open parrafin pan on fire in the middle of the room to heat it. A fight started over a woman, and the pan went over, and the place caught fire. BB barely got out alive with his guitar, and the woman the fight was over was named Lucille, so BB passed the name on to his beloved Gibson - the 'other woman' in his life.
He has had a few Lucilles Andy. He started with a Gibson ES-345, the one he is now using is a custom 80th Anniversary ES. She must have been some woman to name his guitar after. I don't think he was involved in the fight. Did he actually meet her. Was she actually there?
