To be fair, some of Mozart's early symphonies were very lightweight.
I think Beethoven's 9th symphony is worth about 10 of Mozarts early symphnoies (work wise I mean).
In fact Beethoven took the Symphony to a whole new level over that of Hydan and Mozart, and spent far longer working on them (and of course they also last longer as well).
I wonder how long (time wise) Mozarts 50 compare to Beethovens 9 if you added up how long they all were.
