I can already read music, play several instruments and have some rudimentary knowledge of guitar. Now I'm planning to teach myself electric bass. I want to learn mainly rock and blues, sufficient to play a few covers and standards. Can anyone recommend a good 'teach yourself' type book that'll take me through the basic techniques? A book with accompanying CD would be good.

Cheers

Thanks for that, paintpowder. I have to visit my music shop on Saturday, so I'll have a look at it.
