of course none of them are a patch on 78s, which are even scratchier and shorter and more fragile so must be even better. The artwork was crap though.

Not really. My old direct drive turntable seized up from non-use. Last time I tried it could barely jerk its way around. Have some vinyl LPs sitting in a pile doing nothing. From happier days.
