and a huge heap of vinyl?
I have ! Love 'em.
Big round smelly scratchy, clicky clacky, bacony jumpy, turn em overy, too shorty, analoguey, come to think of it pain in the @rsey bulky, stupid great big, DJ-attracting lumps of sh!t. LOL
Now you have made me weep, around 10 years ago a so called friend was doing an am dram gig and needed original records to do the backing, I lent over 60 precious vinyl's and he has disappeared off the face of the earth. I thought I had got over it but no!! I have not. Sniff.
Me too. I keep saying I will record them all in real time remove all the clicks/pops in Cool Edit, save to disc then e-bay the lotofem apart from one or two (for old time's sake) - maybe one day :-)
One I love and still have on 12" vinyl but I know has been voted both best and worst, but it hits a point in my life and that makes a difference, all about choices.
I had all the ELP albums on vinyl. Have them all on remastered CDs now, but kept Brain Salad Surgery because of the artwork, and Pictures at an Exhibition because of where it was recorded...
Aww...brilliant! :-) We used to make jokes about "it means nothing to me" ..but it did to me secretly :-) I remember my sister/cousin had a few records by Slik (Midge Ure's first band) - now off to look for the single :-)
