I love this song and a friend told me while we were in a drunken state that Mick J actually wrote that song about 'Angie' who he had had an affair with.....He did say another singer was her husband, cannot remember at all who he said though.

If it's true...Who's wife was 'Angie'? Thanks

Angie was married to David Bowie, and still refers to herself as Angie Bowie, although it was all over a long time ago. They did have a son together, whom, in keeping with those hippy-dippy days, they named Zowie (yeah I know ...) but as an adult, he is known as Joe Jones (David's real name). The song 'Kooks' on the 'Hunky Dory' album is written about him.
