Have You Taken Any Specific Precautions Against The Storm About To Beat Us Half To Death?

I have gone as far as nailing down a piece of corrugated iron that flaps around on a shed adjoining the house and have undertaken a modification to enable me to close the barn doors to keep our alpacas, horses and goat safe and out of the wind. We have many trees on a virtual cliff face to the rear of us and if they blow down they will land on our house from quite a height.

New batteries for the radio in, large torch charged, candles out, mater fed - or just about to be. Probably a few other things like fuel stored in the back of the car....the one thing outstanding being that I need to pick up medication for the mother in the morning.....
thanks seadogg, the concern I have is that we are the last on the phone line and 3rd last on the tricity (though they upgraded the wires into the house this year -however, it comes through quite a few trees).
The seas at Perranporth were really running earlier.....what they will be like by high tide, well.....that's at about 11pm.

I'm not sure, it looks sealed it, probably to con you out of shelling out another quid on a new one (if the one you buy actually works!).
You can't really return it to the pound shop tough can you, sounds a bit cheap :)
I have a lantern on charge so got that as a back up. Was hoping to have the torch upstairs, especially as me and stairs don't really go together very well but will download a flashlight app on my phone. Off to watch a programme but will have another fiddle in a bit (driven me mad, at risk of it being thrown at something :)). Will see what I can manage later, thanks for your help x
