Ridiculous thuggery. He could have killed him. That response would only have been justifiable if the youth had been running around stabbing random people.

"It seems a strange thing to do, taking any side when there's no clear evidence."
The only side i'm taking is the boys! Who deserves that on the head?
If you think police should be allowed to do that then I'm honestly scared.
Maybe if they did it that to your child, you would be having a different perspective Zacs.

Also Zacs, some evidence is very clear. As I said, this didn't happen today, it happened a good couple of days ago. Long enough for people to get a clear idea of who is in the wrong.
What action must the 16 year old have taken to deserv the gash in the back of the head?
If you could let me know what the minimal the boy could have done to deserve the pounding to the back of the head then i'd love to know.
Was the officer in danger? No. Was anyone? No. Was the officer alone? No. He had no reason to smack the boy in the head. The boy was not a danger to the officer or anyone.
Get some perspective. It's evident the action was an abuse of power.
