Do What It Says On The Tin

More sloppy lazy decisions from Boris, or should I now be looking at the decisions Chris Witty and Sir Patrick Vallance are making.
On the TV news this morning, we are the only country in the world who decided to stretch the second dose of the vaccine to 12 weeks. Here we are yet again thinking we can go against what everyone else is doing, not what it says on the tin, 3 weeks between the first dose.
The WHO and the BMA are saying if you do stretch it out, no more than 6 weeks, even then they can't be sure its right, so why not stick to what the rest of the world is doing 3 weeks.
How many more times does Boris need to be hit over the head with a sledge hammer before he gets any message RIGHT?. Its not difficult to follow the instruction that comes with the medication, play about with it and your asking for trouble, and thats just what were getting big time. Unless people get their second one, all the first ones could become void .
If Boris had two and half Lts of paint and it told you on the tin to add 10% water, he would more than likely add 10 Lts of water so he could paint more rooms, with shocking results. This bloke is off his trolly for sure.

Karl 15.44. Yes your right its chaotically out of control. The problem is when our ministers and our PM make mistakes, they spend weeks defending those mistakes opposed to admitting such and moving on.
Then there's the problem of doing their own thing, and ignoring advice from the WHO, and people on the front line, pouring money into private enterprise to do a job that they are not geared up to do. Local health/ councils have been largely been ignored to support track and trace.
Our health minister Matt Hancock is at the moment hiding away under the stairs, ( small room) pretending that track and trace is working well. It appears that the decorating has been carried out by Laurence Llewelyn, gothic style, unless Boris mixed the paint up wrong for him. The PM seems relaxed riding his bike, showing us all this is the way to beat covid, not with 2 injections.

//Does anyone actually know if they a breeding a vaccine resistant virus by stretching out the second//
yeah I wondered that myself - as a non medical / scientific person I was wondering if it cld potentially work the same way as "not finishing the course of antibiotics". - that the illness comes back but is then resistant?
PS - yes I know antibiotics are for bacteria and that covid is a virus but using this as an example of not fully treating something allows it to become stronger?

this is not really how things happen
vaccines dont prolong a carrier status - a few shorten them (diphtheria) - the ref the nobs give for this is a 1959 case series where they vaccinate against polio a household where polio has occurred and find there is wild virus excretion .... hold it this doesnt show that vaccinated children excrete polio does it?
