In the aftermath of Remembrance Day, lest we forget, here is just one of the thousands of French folk who helped us beat the Nazi menace. Many got caught and were tortured and killed by the Gestapo.

Here's hoping the Francophobes on Ab revise their "cheese-eating surrender monkeys" stereotype of our staunch WW2 allies (but I won't hold my breath).

duly recognised, I know they were not all CESMs and many fought bravely under threat of a fate worse than death. Pity their entire country was not able to fight so courageously. They surrendered lest Paris get damaged and they formed the Vichy French puppet government and collaborated with their invaders. Those are the ones that should be detested. I salute those like the lady in your link canary.
