Just watched PMQ and wondered why mp,s keep standing up between questions when the speaker has obviously arranged beforehand who he is going to call.

Tradition, leahbee. No point to it though is there.

I don't see the point of any of it seeing the PM has the answer to the questions in front of him before they are e in asked.

They stand up as a form of agreement with what has been said.

650 wastes of space,,,,,,,,,,,,indeed, but someone voted for them :(
I thought they had to catch the speakers eye

any way the kick is in the supplementaries - The first q MUST be when is he gonna visit my constituency ? to provide a link, then he says 'my schedule for this week has been published' and then the asker says Yes OK I would ask XYZ and I am not sure he sees all of them

putely because when the Deputy PM has to do questions (Hague) faced Prescott (deputy shadow PM ) - and used to routinely take him apart.....

the one I liked particularly
Prescott - yap yap ..... and so he did the same in the 2001 election
Hgue - ah yes the 2001 election - at least I got through it without hitting anyone.... (MPs laugh hysterically)
