If the tories in Westminster are so keen on saving the union they should issue a public grovelling apology for Margaret Thatcher and the way she treated the Scots the poll tax, shipbuilding, Ravenscraig, school milk the list goes on and on. She was hated in Scotland and many uneducated want to give the tories a kick in the teeth her legacy lives on and many have not forgiven or forgotten. If David Cameron does that he might just clinch it for the better together campaign

doesn't matter what I say those that hate her have been tought to hate her by a generation of lefty teachers who could not stand the fact that she exposed their flawed ideology. Most of them have no idea what Britain was like when TGL took it by the scruff and shook it into life. Yet like any automaton they obey their programming without question.
//Scotland has a dirty secret. Many Scots liked Thatcherism. But these people have been written out of history//

I know that the various polls contadict each other, but what intigues me is this: the voting age has been lowered to include 16/17 year olds specifically for this occasion. I can imagine a large turn out from these kids, glad of the chance of doing something "grown up". Has there been any poll as to how this age group might vote? It could prove crucial to the outcome.
