This is a repeat of a question I think I placed in the wrong category. I would welcome opinions. I'm just curious about the need to spend so much on renewing our nuclear deterrent. Do nuclear missiles deteriorate ? If so how long do they last whilst being stockpiled ? Could we just renew once every 10 years or so ?
