I'm with Teacake on this - they rushed through creating the Nightingales (not building - I think they used existing buildings) without thinking through the staffing implications.

They could have used them for covid with staff taken from other hospitals & left the remainder to deal with normal cases without the added risks of covid infection.

The op is trolling you all. Back in Feb 2020 the moan was that Boris was not providing enough spare beds for the coming doomsday pandemic. Then it was make schools emergency hospital wards, because folk needed the beds now, then it was boasting about a day at the seaside or a picnic and a bottle of Brandy or 2. I can't for the life of me see how this persistant(haha) poster is allowed to put such disingenuous tripe where it is supposed to be seriously considered.

Let me put you right, you are right about me saying that Boris was not acting quickly enough to make spare beds in 2020 and I still stand by that 100%, If he had done, all the infected people could have gone into the Nightingales rather than infect the hospitals and onward the care homes, act quick, prepare is the key , Boris did neither until it was to late!!

And still stand by that Naomi, but you've forgot I said, get prepared, China put infected people in make shift hospitals, and even today thats what we should be doing so other people can get treated for other problems that are killing them, as long as there is covid patients in the hospitals then other patients that are going in for other treatment will catch covid.
