English Devolution
Why does England not have a devolved parliament/assembly like the other UK countries?
Why should we have Scots/Welsh/NI MPs sticking their oar into English business at Westminster whilst having extensive powers devolved to them regarding their own countries?
This is grossly unfair & needs to be addressed pdq. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

The big question is not so much why England has no such regional government but why is the UK wasting money providing jobs for politicians, apparently not not enough to get elected to the national parliament, to spout off against the UK, still.

No doubt you’ll get BA, ToraToraTora.
One of the gang generally awards it to you, Davebro will be no different I’m sure…….once he’s worked out the question he’s been posed.
Is that why you no longer respond, you’ve got no credible comebacks?

//‘ I usually think "why is Fatti such a prat" ‘ - pity you can't give yourself BA but if you give it to this then it will be like you are giving it to yourself.//
ROFPMSL, never a truer word spoken, your words not mine!
Except for the first 3 words in your post, because like Davebro you clearly don’t. End of.

// You could tell us what whisk'e'y has got to do with the question //
My answer was addressing the past mistakes made by Scotland back in the late 17th century.
Since you've spelt it with an 'e' (as found on any bottle label where it is produced in Ireland) then in this instance, your question is irrelevant to the matters that befell Scotland back in the late 1690s!

// I was making reference to exactly who ‘the Scotch’ were, as you called them? I’m reasoning that you meant the Scots? //

I see that Drakeford has been tub thumping and rousing the permanently disaffected in Wales this week too. Who cares? Let the devolution process slide to the least advantageous outcome for everyone. Everyone in Wales Scotland and NI that is. You see davebro ... when the game ends and the short of comprehension think that they have "won", England will have independence and no dependants. The very process that is meant (by the home boy nationalists) to free them from English despotism, in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin, by default give England the greatest gift of all. Our independence and a Parliament of our own to decide what is best for England. We have not had one, despite having the World's first, since the false act of union.
