BBC News have just announced a 2.2 earthquake in Blackpool overnight - I take it this is an April Fool? Anyone else think this is in very poor taste after the disaster in Japan???? Perhaps they should stick to spaghetti going on trees?? (For those of us old enough to remember!!!!
Anything under 3.5 on the Richter scale is unlikely to be felt.
The thing with April fools jokes is they tend to be in one place only, if you can find the story repeated in several different news sources, as this story is, then it's a pretty safe bet it's a genuine story.
alba this is the only sysmic activity this week in the UK - so far

Will go and have a nosey at your link chuck. Can't be any worse than what I've seen in my brain this morning surely.....
We do get them very occasionally I can only remember one years ago. It was quite high on the Richter scale but even that just gave a short shudder and didn't last long.
