I was not in anyway getting 'misty eyed' over you, far from it.

That post was my way of trying to get a little adultness back into the debate, the Ed. could see the way it was going, hence him putting a block on it.

But it looks as if you are not adult enough to let bygones be bygones, and get back to what is after all only a recreational pass time.

I put my hand out to you, but you obviously are not prepared to grasp it. I am sorry that you are not prepared to accept me as your friend, but for the record, at least I tried.

Referring to jack-the-hat being gay, no I had no idea, and I wouldn't be rude enough to ask her outright, just in case I had it wrong.

I do not really regard anyone on AB as a friend (or enemy). I have never met anyone from on here in real life, and to take someone you do not even know the name of as a friend seems odd or a little desperate.

There are obviously posters who you prefer and like. There are posters who you find entertaining even though you might not agree with them. But you shouldn't worry if someone does not want to debate with you, that's life.

I wonder if the two 'gays' you regard as unpleasant may be in fact refecting back some unpleasantness you yourself have cast? Both seem reasonable ABers to the rest our little community.

Fair play AOG - and thank you for your post.

I have to confess that Idid get somewhat carried away with my incessent baiting of you by third party - not an attractive way to behave, and one of which I am not proud.

As you know, we have crossed swords many times in debate, and occasionally been annoyed with each other, to the point of falling out - but I do believe that you debate your views with sincerity, even though I often disagree with your stance on a number of issues.

So, in the interest of mature behaviour, and of moving forward in a positive manner, I would like to recind my last post with its overly personal comments, and to accept your previous post in the spirit in which it was offered.

In conclusion - please accept my sincere applogies for my unwarrented agrerssion - I look forward to further debates in the future, which I am sure will be as erudite s they are contentious - but with an absence of personal rancour, which should be discouraged at all costs on the AB - and in life in general.

andy....cryptic?....mine was a cricketing term in response to Dave´s and I assumed that he meant AOG was out....bowled.....back to the pavilion.....lost.

Andy - Its Cricket terminology, when a bowler sends down an excellent ball, other players but not the Batsmen cry bowled as in well bowled, sometimes this is also "Bowling"

I was saying well played, not sure if Squd thought I was wrong or being funny.

Thanks guys - I'm not very sporty - although i do love watching cricket on the TV, and I am familiar with the term 'Bowled', or 'Bowled Shane!' as I used to keep hearing it - just didn't pick it up out of context.
