The only positive thing about this tacky affair and the other accusations, combined with the NoW invasion of folks mobile phones, is that the UK Govt and Judiciary have to (underscored) sort out the mess that is our Privacy Laws versus the Freedom of Speech issue. On one side, do we want the Press not to expose corrupt Government, Companies, scams, fraudsters, dirty Priests, cheats and all the rest and, on the other, not have protection to sensitive cases involving minors, disabled, family matters and indeed false accusations. And it is on that last point that they should really focus. If an accusation or a story is made up to see if there is "any fire behind the smoke" then it should be injunctioned. That Press gutter treatment is abhorrent and should be terminated asap.
