Politics is a dirty business. Remember when Bush Junior, who served his country in the Coast Guard somewhere near Washington, was challenged for the Republican nomination by a decorated Vietnamese war hero? There were adverts on American television doubting the hero's courage.
Obama didn't get to the top of the greasy pole with clean hands. Who could?

Anyone who understands the rationale behind the American political system is by far cleverer than me. From my humble seat in the UK it seems that every four years the electorate are offered a choice of only two candidates out of a population of millions, both backed by money some of us can only dream of. Whilst the President enjoys executive powers denied to the Sovereign of the UK, in effect these powers are exercised by those whom he appoints to his cabinet, for which he is the apologist. I will stick with our system and HM: it seems easier to get rid of a crap Prime Minister than a crap President.

He is a snake-oil salesmen and this current tour is nothing more or less than a crusade to get the UK and whoever else he can convince to aid him in the perpetuation of the USA and its foreign policy and self interest.
