Government U-Turns round up...
The Government aren't soft on crime after all...
// Plans by Kenneth Clarke, the Justice Secretary, to halve the prison sentences of thousands of criminals will be abandoned after a political backlash and the personal intervention of David Cameron. //
http://www.telegraph....-justice-reforms.html
Seeing as it was to save lots of money, they haven't explained how they will pay for this change of mind.
NHS reform...
// The sound of screeching brakes could be heard in University College Hospital as David Cameron engaged reverse gear on NHS reforms. //
http://www.independen...question-2294344.html
Are these changes welcome? Coalition politics at its worse? Or just a complete shambles?

First there was the forest sell off, then Andrew Lansley's health proposals have done a U-turn and now under pressure from the press he has abandoned Ken Clarke and his sentencing policies.
None of these policies see the light of day until they have been discussed in Cabinet so there's no excuse there.
A general picture seems to be emerging that a Minister under pressure from the Media has to abandon his policy and Cameron hasn't the guts to back them 100%.
However when it comes to Cameron's own ideas especially foreign policy they go through hell or high water to implement them. You get the impression he is a complete sh!t and thinks only of himself.
He will certainly be the loser as none of his cabinet will show him any respect.
