When is a Gay Vicar, just a Sad Vicar?

Oh dear, oh dear, Anne Robinson is in trouble for daring to upset a Gay Vicar, with her 'tongue in the cheek' remarks..
Didn't this person realise what he would encounter by appearing on 'The Weakest Link, especially by wearing such a shirt?
Like her or hate her, that is the style of the show, she constantly criticises the contestants, either about what they are wearing, their physical appearance, their occupations, even what part of the country they come from.
Why the BBC cut out the offending remarks before airing the show amazes me, other contestants have been known to suffer even more at her hands than this vicar.
But then these haven't had an organisation such as the gay rights group Outrage, to defend their corner.
He said "Taking part showed that vicars can have fun too", but it seems in this case, apparently not.

Thanks Ron. Being of the much older age group, it really makes me squirm when I see or hear the word "gay" used in this context. I am very broadminded and do not care what other people do as long as they don't expect me to join in, but please, please use the right word. If you are homosexual, then accept that fact and call yourself by the right word. I am sure there are a great many other words which people use and which you would find very objectionable and I agree with you wholeheartedly so just stick to one - the correct one.
