When is a Gay Vicar, just a Sad Vicar?

Oh dear, oh dear, Anne Robinson is in trouble for daring to upset a Gay Vicar, with her 'tongue in the cheek' remarks..
Didn't this person realise what he would encounter by appearing on 'The Weakest Link, especially by wearing such a shirt?
Like her or hate her, that is the style of the show, she constantly criticises the contestants, either about what they are wearing, their physical appearance, their occupations, even what part of the country they come from.
Why the BBC cut out the offending remarks before airing the show amazes me, other contestants have been known to suffer even more at her hands than this vicar.
But then these haven't had an organisation such as the gay rights group Outrage, to defend their corner.
He said "Taking part showed that vicars can have fun too", but it seems in this case, apparently not.

Gay is perfectly good word for something cheerful and uplifting, which people are now scared to use in case they give offence to those who take offence on behalf of other people (most of whom usually couldn't give a monkey's anyway).
He should know he`s going to get a bit of stick on that show. Everybody does. I don`t know about a gay vicar, or a sad vicar but he`s certainly a lying vicar. I caught the end of that episode when I was waiting for the news and he voted off the strongest link so that he could be pitched against the other opponent (who was a clearly as thick as two planks). When Ann Robinson asked him why he voted off the strongest link, he lied repeatedly. Not very christian. Perhaps he donated his ill-gotten winnings to the church?
Can't stand the show, watched it a few times, but wanted to punch Ann Robinson for her smuge remarks to contestants and glib side swipes, mocking people obviously counts as entertainment. I think she would fit in quite well on this site (:o(
I think the Vicar's shirt is lovely, nothing gay about it, just lovely and colourful.

Well isn't it you and your ilk who wish to control others freedom of choice.
Freedom on what newspaper to read.
Freedom on what subjects to post on.
Freedom of one's personal likes and dislikes.
Freedom on what political views to hold.
Freedom to use tongue in the cheek remarks, when other do.
Need I go on, I think I have made my point.
That is of course if I am allowed to do so?
