What makes people who are born into a free society such as ours, go and take up arms against us?
Surely they should be tried for treason as British Nationals fighting against their own country.

btw, this was on the News this morning and not a rant of the DM

could not have put that better myself WELSHY , thank you :-)
We could always treat these people according to their own beliefs.
Hadith
The Prophet said: “As you would have people do to you, do to them; and what you dislike to be done to you, don't do to them. ”
—Kitab al-Kafi, vol. 2, p. 146

They want to kill our soldiers....
"If, and I stress the word If, they are tried and found guilty of treason then the least they should get is stripped of their nationality and shipped to whatever hellhole they came from, regardless of human rights."

what about if they came from birmingham ?

i mean obviously sending them their would be hell, but is that really what you mean ?
Question Author
I think their Birth country was the key Ankou and if , indeed Birmingham is where they are from, then they should not be fighting against this country in the first place?

venator, theres no place in our British Society for people who wish to kill our soldiers for fighting in a war they we asked to join by the very people they are joining
FLUFFING swear filter!

Ankou - you could always take them to Holyhead - then chuck them off the breakwater!!
Mindst you having said that, the Environment Agency would probably do us for polluting the sea!
so you'd ship them back to the uk first then ?!

bobbi, lets assume that they have taken arms (and legs, they'd need them) against the british. on the one hand we have the 'don't let them back here, strip them of their nationality' etc etc. yet on the other 'send them back to wherever they came from'.

so welshyorkie, if they were born in birmingham, what is the precedent in your very own unique and in no way subjective justice system ?
Question Author
if they are guilty of treachery Ankou (note I said 'if')
They should be stripped of British citizenship, but if this is their birth country then they should be heavily penalized for this act
heavily penialised?

what like forced to watch endless re-runs of 'it aint half hot mum' ?
Question Author
very drawl Ankou, they should stand trial and get a hefty sentence
If they were born here and were found guilty, Ankou, they should get the maximum sentence available to the courts. I personally would hope they would be made an example of.
ah ok, so you'd bring them back and put them in one of those butlins-holiday-camp-prisons.

cool
Question Author
and the alternative?
if they are guilty Ankou,
is?????
no no, i'm happy that such guilty parties should be tried for treason (if that is indeed the correct charge) and imprisoned in the uk.

its just that originally you wanted them thrown out of the country. i had visions of ping pong on a very grand scale.
Question Author
if you read back you will see I said if they were of a different birth country they should then , go and live there, same as few others have said I believe?
generally on page 2 of this thread it inferred something different, but pleased we now agree.

Question Author
do we?
Oh Well, :-(P)
If we must have them back in Britain, then they should have their pass-ports confiscated, sent to jail to face a very long sentences and have all privileges ie eligibility for any benefits etc, taken from them for life.
