I can't say I'm clued up on these things but can someone explain why in what is now 3 days of rioting and 250 arrests only 25 people have been charged? 25?????

They've not said nextqueen.
I say bring in the military to assist the police.

Ron.
I thought they said near the bullring.
what, and admit it's a war zone? They wouldn't do that in Northern Ireland because they knew it would amount to an admission of civil war in Britain; I dont' expect them to do it in Debenhams in Clapham..
I agree Ron, bring in the army and enforce a curfew. These people are behaving like animals, it's frightening.

They say they've arrested over 200 rioters but only 25 charged.
They've got away with it!!!!
Makes me sick how much fun they look like they're having!

Hopefully won't kick off here Dr F, so far so good. No copshop on Platt Lane anymore as far as I know though I don't go walking around here much. My local one is Greenheys Moss Side as far as I know.
Yes near the Bullring

Just saw a post on twitter linking to a FB page that's been set up for an 'event' - Manchester & Nottingham Riots 12 August 2011 !!

I agree Ron, they need them now
That's what I don't understand Funnygirl - how can they only have charged 25 people when there are hundreds involved.
It's about time our authorities discovered water cannon and tear gas

F**k health and safety and human rights, other countries wouldn't stand by while scum rioted and looted shops, why are we so soft?
jenna that is where it kick off last time so they kept em near platt lane
There'll be more people charged fg when cops have had time to study film footage.
IMO the police have lost control, and too scared to be seen being " physical " with anyone, very poor leadership. when 2 of the highest ranking police officers resigned because of the recent events. 3rd night of rioting and the PM and mayor decide to return home. :(
jenna just checked google maps they have built flats where the old cop shop was
