Chalk farm now kicking off and fire in clapham.
car burning in Notting Hill. Can't see any glow on the horizon from my house yet (b ut maybe the people on the top floor can)
It's funny, the noises I normally hear are not the same as tonight, it's almost too quiet at certain times.
Apparently it's kicking off in Luton?
Wouldn't suprise me, there's a half decent shopping centre there. I'm starting to hear sirens in the distance again. Apparently there's tension in peckham and people hanging around now.
They've set a party shop on fire...with helium cannisters in it..!!
are you south of the river, CD?
Just come back from Oldham, and it is a right mess, utter shitee heap, the houses are devadtated and there is an angry mob in the town centre.

So nothing new there then.
Lol Gromit!

I am jno... I am between the middle of lewisham and bromley with catford just down the road.... I'm on a main road but there's not much to loot around here fortunately :c)
Should read 'between lewisham and bromley'
CD,

Hide the Marmite. (or not if you are a Marmite hater).
We live in the suburbs of Birmingham. Rang the cops tonight as I was just looking out the front bedroom window to see three young men walking down our quiet cul-de-sac walking up and down neighbours drives and the sides of our houses having a "mooch". Police said they would send a car when the got a chance but in their words "things were kicking off tonight".

I worried that it will give the usual burglars and scrotes a licence to do what they want knowing the police will be stretched near the main shopping areas.
BBC News just reported an unmanned police station has been set alight in Handsworth, Birmingham.
Something kicking off in Northampton now :-(
Marmite is hidden and I'm thinking of finishing the wine as then it will be somewhere safe.

That's actually why I'm still up and listening to news Captain Kirk. I'm not so worried about the rioting as I don't think it will come up here but I am vaguely concerned about other crimes going on when the police are stretched so tightly and don't fancy being a burglary statistic! (That said, there's really only the marmite worth anything here).
Kicking off in portabello road too apparently.

Don't worry ummmm, it will be ok, it can't go on forever. (Mainly cause they'll be nowt left worth looting!)
yowch, right in the heart of the action then, CD. I hope you stay safe. We are a couple of blocks from the nearest shops (and the shopkeepers are rumoured to be drugs barons, probably with their own deterrents to hand), so hope we are out of harm's way. But if we were in the top floor flat we could probably see the flames from places like Notting Hill on the horizon.
This is going to give all the criminal fraternity carte blanche to do what they want and get away with it whilst the police are otherwise engaged with the other scum! Welcome to the lawlessness of the UK....we've not seen anything like it and I can only wonder how much worse it can get.
I presume the unnatural silence round your way is because the locals have all gone off to loot somewhere else, so that's probably a good sign
Kinda jno... but although on a main road, it's residential and there's nothing here worth stealing... well there's the squid from the chinese but I'd probably be leading that particular riot. I think Bromley's just got a load of armed police now too.
