I'm surprised that Mr Frost had to look it up. I would've thought that most people know this phrase? The report doesn't state what term he used for the white rioters in Manchester.

How would you feel if you emigrated and everyone used the term "White devil" or something similar to put you and other whites down? Would you be okay with the term being used on just white criminals even though it's offensive to all whites?

If for example someone were to use the word "White Devil" or any other offensive words to say a white person, who had been convicted of a rape or murder for example, then I would not feel in the least offended, because I would be smart enough to realise that those words were not directed at me personally, and that the criminal deserved everything he had meted out to him.

Your analogy just does not work on two counts.

Simply because of the fact that much as some would wish it to be, reading the Daily Mail is not a crime.
