Fair play to the counter-demo by Muslims Against Extremism. Like their banner I too am often perplexed why those with such extreme views don't do so from a strict Islamic country, preferring to do it from a democratic country with all its trappings, benefits and relative luxury.

Shame the Met hierarchy couldn't show the same courage as the MEA group and instruct their officers to do their job. It's the same sort of 'leadership' and commitment to politically correct horlicks that led to the amount of damage and theft in the recent riots.

If a "white" group had a sign "The whites will rule the world" they would probably be arrested for racism.

I can only guess the police did not want too much confrontation on what was supposed to be a day of peaceful rememberance so let the protest go quietly on.

they are protesting about the presence of US troops in Islamic countries, so outside the US embassy seems a reasonable place. Britons used to protest about US military bases in this country too, but everyone now seems happy to be an American colony so we can share in the joy of Hollywood movies, gun crime, recessions etc.
