It is brutal murder.

I don't want to live in a society where criminals kill criminals and it is considered to be justice.

Although his initial sentence of four and half years was a bit of a joke!

He was obviously a very bad person, however, the courts sentenced him to serve out however many years, and it was not down to the other inmates to decide his fate!.......

sara, no we can't feel sympathy for him!........why would we after what he was convicted of, but he shouldn't have been killed the way he was, he may well have had a light sentence, but that's up to the court!.......I do think that his sentence was a joke however!.........

I guess if you put Cat A prisoners together, there's a possibility that they will feel anger/disgust at other's crimes.. and then deal with it in the only way they know.

They say child rapists always have a bad time in jail... which is why they are often in isolation, for their own protection.

Sorry to go off topic but what really p!sses me off is when I read about convicted rapists/sex offenders and their sentences, ie, they was sentenced to say 10 years for such and such attack in 2001, 5 years for another attack in 2004, 6 years for another in 2008 etc...who lets these people out for gods sake?, and if after they`ve been let out early for whatever reason for the first offence why are they not locked up for life on the second offence?

By not segregating Harrison from the other prisoners the prison service has failed in its duty to protect him.
It reminds me of a case where a young Indian man was put into a cell with a known racist. During the night he was bludgeoned to death.

Prisoners love to look down on others.

I may have shoplifted but I didn't steal from a pensioner.

I may have robbed a pensioner but I didn't beat him

I may have beat a pensioner when I robbed him but I didn't kill him

I may have killed a pensioner when I robbed him but I didn't rape anyone

I may have raped, but I didn't rape a child.....

It is natural, I suppose, to look down on other people in order to justify ones own shortcomings, to boost self worth.
That can never mean it is right to kill another just because we feel superior to them. In this instance it can't be revenge - I doubt a loved of the victim is banged up with the offender. I'm glad I can't see in to these peoples heads.

I know Elvis....it really is a joke. I bet if a member of the judges family had been raped they'd get a harsher sentence....when they see first hand the damage it does.
