Any time she was on television i wondered what pearls of wisdom she would come out with, and sure enough there were some, but so treaclly and homespun that i wondered how any one let her out of the house. The latest allegation of cocaine abuse and worse rather put paid to her running for the Presidency, mind you some of the old Presidents could have done with livening up a bit, Gerald Ford for one.

It irks me when I hear the phrase "putting her family first" as it is something seemingly unique to the female of the species. It's not something you tend to hear men proclaiming. Is it that they don't "put their family first" or that saying that is just a convenient cop as she realises it's not going to happen?

Sarah Palin had a last visit today in her role as de facto candidate before announcing her retirement. She attended a rally in Wisconsin. The ex-Alaskan Governor said she was thrilled to visit Wisconsin because she's never been to the Deep South
