A BBC R4 presenter asked an "industry expert" this morning something along the lines of: "Do you think that we over-estimate his achievements, sure there were things he was really good at, but do we all get sucked into the hyperbole"

The answer:

"Well, the hype was part of his Genius"

Obviously it is sad that he has died so young. I think he(Apple) had a quite remarkable ability to predict what would sell and to market it well at the right price.
I have never owned anything with the Apple logo on it and I don't feel that I have missed out on anything.
