The protesters who are camped out on the steps of Saint Paul's Cathedral, most of them have their faces covered either with a mask or a scarf, surely if you believe in what you are protesting about, you wouldn't be bothered about being 'seen'

You would if you'd phoned your boss to explain a tummy bug as the reason for your absence from work these past few days.

(possibly)
Maybe they are cold. Or maybe they think however genuine their cause, they will be photographed and put on a database, or worse have their texts and emails snooper on.

@BOO...I had to smile at your reply

you really think they would be put on some kind of 'black list' Gromit?
colloquially speaking.
they got the idea from the police, makes it harder to blame you for something you may not have done

Well at least one of them was a fan of V for Vendetta...either that or Redman has joined the protest
Probably because they are serial protesters and known to the police, and who turn out regardless of what the protests are about.

I wonder if they will be made to clear up the mess they will undoubtedly have made? when they leave that is

I agree in principle why they are protesting, just they always seem now to 'cover up'
hah! you can guarantee they arrived by train from the Shire counties and were sat in Costa coffee at Euston, sipping skinny lattes, using their iphones to find out how to get to St Pauls.
It is about time they were all removed, they make the place look untidy.

As I have said before, the authorities will put up with anything from the 'Left'.

But if it had been a 'Right-Wing' demonstration, the batons would have soon been drawn.
some are happy to give their names out

>> Among the protesters was Samuel Mack-Poole, 26, an English teacher from Sidcup, Kent. He said: "A state of the people, for the people should be based on the majority of what people want. We do not live in a democracy.

"The leading party in this country only got 36 per cent of the vote.

''That means 64 per cent of people's opinions are not being listened to.

"I was radicalised by the cuts – as a teacher and seeing is going on in schools, I had to do something."

Cynthia Jones, 19, a charity worker, added: "For me this is a matter of morals. I can't watch all the things that are happening in this country without doing something. The economy is struggling because of the banks and, in the position I am in, all I can do is be a physical presence." <<
aog lol at you untidy comment.Guess it gives them a false security to have face masks...thought that police now have right to remove masks. No probs with them protesting though.
