They say they will stay till Christmas. I wonder if the parade can go ahead now?
Should they be "forced out" now?
if so, how could this be be enforced,
The Bankers don't give a stuff that these people are protesting !, and what have they achieved by it?

I will observe Dr F, while sewing me sequins..lol
bobbi it will be dark at this rate before i get my shopping :)
Sqad - it was this question by JtH.

"sqad - Would you like to give a brief weekly menu of meals and foodstuffs which you believe would be sufficient nutrition for a child per week. "

Whilst Dr F might have been referring to breakfast, I am a little concerned that the £20 per week also has to pay for lunch and/or evening meals. I think the comment "go to school on an empty stomach" has been taken a little too literally.

arhh but what fun we had Dr F...lol
fun, i am starving , wished i had gone over the paper shop this morning for some bread so i could have some toast
Barmaid...I have answered that...Dr Filth used the terms "starvation" and "going to school on an empty stomach" for emotive reasons......I don't blame him for that as i often do the same.

All I have done is to question the circumstances as to why a child should go to school on "an empty stomach. We have had several financial replies which I cannot confirm but will accept, but the most poverty stricken case of £20/week would be enough to supply cereal for breakfast.

What happens for the rest of the day, was never a part of the debate.

it's been like a maze on here,,lol
twists and turns all the way...but good fun none the less
do they still give free toys in the corn flakes ?
Yes, it was......it may suit your purpose to claim it wasn't, but it was certainly apparent to just about everyone else.

'Going to school hungry' is NOT simply an emotive phrase, it is descriptive...just as "going to school with the Yabbie hanging out of his trousers'...isn't meant to imply that he wore tailored suits in his outside of school-hours.
Question Author
pmsl@Dr Filth, much prefer the lighter side of debate..lol

///Yes, it was......it may suit your purpose to claim it wasn't, but it was certainly apparent to just about everyone else. ///

Then "everyone else" was entitled to their interpretation.
be honest does anyone know how much they spend on food every week

if you think about it some weeks you buy things that you will not need to buy for another couple of weeks or more

for instance if you buy a bottle of hp sauce this week you would not need another one for a few weeks so it is very hard to work out
Fair do's, sqad.
I'd want to remove myself from having to explain away any particularly stupid statements I'd made, too.
Question Author
too right Dr F, it varies from week to week doesn't?
(I'll never get me angel wings done at this rate ;-( )
change that to tomato sauce

if you had beans on toast every day you would need a bottle of hp every week
hope we are all still buddies deffo got to go hope you all have a nice day

and some nice food :)
Heard this morning that a large percentage of these protesters leave their day shelters, and go home to sleep in their comfortable beds for the night, so they can hardly be seen to be making sacrifices for their cause.
Even so AOG....sitting in the cold all day is not sacrifice?
/// Stop lighting their big fat cigars with ten pound notes .
The taxpayers are paying for their balls ups and greed .The government may well have bailed them out but it's Joe Soap who's paying for it .///

This is the type of false perceptive one sees banded about by some.

Yes the taxpayer (and that includes the bankers who will be paying out more than most) will always be paying out for what they deem unnecessary, be it crazy government schemes, wars, overseas aid etc.etc.

And on the other end of society, there are some who have never worked, and thus never paid a penny in tax, but still enjoy much of our hard earned cash, in benefit handouts.

What about a mass protest against them?
indeed aog, why don't you rally up the troops and start something ?
