I thought for one moment that he would get away with a manslaughter charge. A hideous crime, and lets hope he does the full term.

that's the trouble em, they don't ever do the term given to them
He was drinking champagne at a party not long after he killed her.

I hope he rots.

No Mercy, me too, what a bstard.
Thank God, but 20 years minimum is nowhere near enough. He could be out when he's 53 if he behaves himself inside.
I was just posting one em when yours came up. Apparently he is going to serve a minimum of 20 years and it also came out that he used to look at internet porn showing strangulation for sexual kicks. Poor, poor Jo and her parents. Vile man.
Sick, sick individual. I have been following it through the journalists on Twitter...I am so glad he was found guilty of murder. I too thought he would get manslaughter, but after what I have read about him today I'm not surprised it was murder!
I'm glad about that, a disgusting individual, I hope he gets everything he deserves inside.

I know, i have followed the case, and quite wondered how this would go, but it's strange to say one is glad, I'm not because another woman is dead, and that can't be changed. But if he does 20 years, he will still have a life when he comes out, just not good enough.
Will he be deported after his sentence?
they should now circumcise him with a rusty razorblade I think
Can anyone (like New Judge hopefully) explain why such apparently relevant evidence as the explicit images and content of Tabak's computer showing images of strangulating women etc was excluded from the jury. I would have thought that this evidence was manifestly relevant and may have actually assisted the jury in its deliberation.
As a matter of interest when did exactly did you decide he was guilty?

When you first saw his picture?

First day of the trial?

Serious question - anybody can answer, genuinely interested when people decide these things
Jut out of interest Jake, have you ever served on jury ?
no, jtp, just now...why?
You cannot look at an image and think
"he's guilty"
although I think the landlord always looked very shifty but like so many others, I was wrong
Apparently the jury were told about the porn sites he was a member of and the fact he visited prostitutes.
I didn't think there was ever any doubt of his guilt, especially as he admitted it, just the level of guilt.
Question Author
I didn't decide, the jury did, i believed he was guilty of murder early on, and certainly not manslaughter, but that decision wasn't mine to make.
Well em said she thought he was going to "get away with manslaughter" so it sounds as if she'd already made up her mind.

People do seem to decide these things before hand

Some even think "he wouldn't have been arrested if he wasn't guilty"

So I'm interested to know when people decide these high profile cases in their own minds
Apparently they weren't.................
That's kind of what I was asking em

What brought you to that conclusion early on?
