/// The former prime minister said it was 'right’ that the country was made up of different cultures and faiths mixing together.///

The only trouble of this is the fact that different cultures and faiths' 'do not' mix together.

One has only got to take some Muslim countries where different factions of Islam do not mix, Europe is another good example.

No Labour's, and consequently later governments experiment into social engineering, has just not worked, but has created even more problems on all fronts.

No King Canute was right, it was the tides that were wrong.
I despise Blair, but he was not wrong when he said that.
Oil and water comes to mind.

Yet another failed policy to put on his legacy. For a man that has produced so many failures its surprising how he has benefitted so much financially.

I wonder why this policy wasn't more widely aired in public or in the House of Commons beforehand. He seemed to have a habit in going against what the rest of Britain wants.
The only trouble of this is the fact that different cultures and faiths' 'do not' mix together.

Especially that the UK is full up and our health services and others are under pressure!

Tony Blair is, and always will be a prat, get back to counting your money Blair you made out of being a two faced PM.
Canute was not as deluded as people would have you believe.

When his orders were ignored by the sea, he said "Let all the world know that the power of kings is empty and worthless and there is no King worthy of the name save Him by whose will heaven and earth and sea obey eternal laws," (Historia Anglorum, ed D E Greenway).
Did Canute not also have the sea whipped with chains?hmmmmm try that with Blair maybe .
Blair got it right for Blair . He only had one failure he did not become the EUs president but he and his OH have salted away their multi millions so that's some consolation.
