Should they have been given permission to hold this protest, on our day of remembrance?
Why aren't the moderate Muslims voicing their objections against these extremists?

"Could it be because most of the terrorists around these days seem to emanate from Islamic factions?"
No true actually...not even close to being true:

I totally understand where you'd get the idea from, because like you, I believed that to be true...but it really isn't. Have a look at the link above...just for balance.

perhaps its the Real IRA's turn next. I think that living in the capital has a lot of downsides. And lately i haven't seen any plus sides. I do not see any difference between the idiot swinging on the Union flag on the cenotaph, disrespectful and vile, and the equally bile spouting Anjem choudary and his cohorts. Lets ship them all out to a desert island, and let them fight over the scraps.

/// I personally don't feel that any Muslim I encounter needs to speak out against these actions before I trust them, I will treat them as I would treat anyone I didn't know, I'd assume they were anti-terrorism until they suggested otherwise ///
I admire your very liberal attitude, but it prompts me to ask, would it then not be too late?
Many of these radical Muslims have lived not only next door, but also been on speaking terms with their neighbours, how often have we heard "who would have thought it, he was such a nice
chap"?
I don't know how old you are Paul, but I am old enough to remember WW2, the time when all Germans, Italians, and Japanese nationals were treated with suspicion, in fact in the early days of the war, they were interned for security reasons.
I am not condoning that or suggesting that is what we should do now, but at least considering that we have a terrorist threat in this country, and the fact that we are at war, then we should treat these troublemakers with suspicion, it would be foolish to do otherwise.

For one thing, as people in this thread demonstrated earlier, WW2 was a completely different time and bears only distant comparison at best. For another, people have also demonstrated that you don't know these trouble makers aren't being watched - in which case it's better to leave them alone until they lead us to genuinely dangerous people. Obviously we don't know for sure exactly, but one thing we can say for certain is that the success our security services have had in identifying and preventing terrorist attacks since 7/7 has not been achieved through public and indiscriminate rounding-up of muslims.

AOG, I'm 32 and will freely admit I probably live a bit of a rose tinted world, that's just me.
I appreciate the neighbours of the terrorists may have never known that they would turn out like this, just as the neighbours of the vast majority of Muslims never 100% knew that they wouldn't be terrorists, just like I never really know what my neighbours are up to behind closed doors, so I have to take them on face value.
I would honestly rather assume everyone is a really nice person and treat people with respect and warmth than to live in fear and paranoia, worrying that one day one of the thousands of people I encounter, may cause me harm, it's a much nicer way of living.
I'll keep my wits about me, I like to think I'm streetwise enough, and it's done me fine so far!

'Hell for Heroes'
Yep that is what soldiers go through. They do not call themselves heroes, they say they are just doing a job. So if some radicals want to call it 'Hell for Heroes' they are quite correct, it is hell (war) and each soldier (male or female) is a hero to their familly. IMO they have metaphorically shot themselves in the foot by calling it Hell for Heroes.
