Luckily, what you think the definition of race is immaterial since it is defined in legislation. The Crown Prosecution Service website states,

“Racial group – this means any group of people who are defined by reference to their race, colour, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origin. This could include Gypsies and Travellers, refugees, or asylum seekers or others from less visible minorities. There has been a legal ruling that Jews and Sikhs are included in the definition of racial group”

As you see, the definition is very open and a whhite person can be a victiim of a racist incident or crime. A black person could also racially abuse another black person..

In fairness, AOG's posted timed 1231hrs, is seeking advice on a certain matters. The use of the term racist / racism can be confusing to some (as can be seen on this thread) and there are many who believe or consider rascism only refers to skin colour etc.

I have no idea what newspaper you read, but whatever it is, you should stop subscribing, because it's full of nonsense. I read The Guardian, Independent and Observer, and there was no hiding the fact that the London riots were predominantly carried out by black teenagers, and the Manchester ones by white teenagers.

I think you may have a bit of a chip on your shoulder - one could even suggest that like a certain other person on AB, you're simply playing the race card.

My reference to there being only one race, 'The Human Race' was just a point I was trying to get over, and in no way intended for anyone to take it literally.

But you always have one, so I suppose I should have been prepared to make allowances for some, who may not quite be up to it.

It's fine to put across valid points, and argue your case, but when you write things that are patently untrue (and then fail to issue a reasonable comeback), people will assume it's because you have a chip on your shoulder.

A bit like Rebel Souls and his ongoing campaign against the BBC...eventually people will think "Ah ha...this man has one shoulder which is considerably lower than the other...for obvious reasons".

Not at all...I had a long exchange with naomi24 where I vehemently disagreed with her position on what constitutes a racist insult. I could tell from what she wrote that she doesn't have a chip on her shoulder, nor does she play the race card.
