My response to that question is that it is a myth used by abusers, and if it was true, surely all the female survivors of abuse would then go onto abuse their children.
As I work in prison, and worked with paedophiles (Probation) I know from from a professional and personal level how these people work and how they twist the thoughts so they can prey on children
People get upset when I mention female abusers, and only shut up when my co trainer tells them he was sexually abused at the age of 5 by a female.
So the myth that I would abuse my children..all grown up now and in Uni, college and work...is wrong and I have fought to deny that myth!
Philatz..well done for speaking out and yeah, I fully agree mate, my kids were and remain my life and say how proud they are of me, for the work I do, and thats reward enough to know that they grew up safe and protected from evil ******** who prey on children
If you ever want to chat please do so...the number is listed on my website www.survivorsswindon.com
pjm007...Dont have any worries over me, I said goodbye to my ghosts many years ago, and have no problems with the past, as thats where it belongs, in the past, but thanks for asking

Ed. Where did Philtaz's posting go regarding his experience. It must have taken him a great deal of thought and courage to post and has just been taken away. This is very thoughtless. Phil is right, the thread has lost it's continuity now.
I am posting as Cranberry, as I can't post as FP for some reason.
Thanks for the back up FP. I too was a little perplexed as to why that particular post was banned as there was nothing remotely offensive or retaliatory in it whatsoever, especially taking into consideration some of those that have been allowed to remain!
Anything in the way of a possible explanation/rationale behind the deletion AB Ed?
As the creator of the thread, I would like to thank everyone for their involvement, especially those who shared their personal ordeals and experiences, it was a heated and highly emotive topic that needed to be addressed but the time has now come to remove it.
