hope so! x
I read his comments in the Sun and to be honest I agree with him. I also feel that any other media dragging this up are doing it for one purpose.
No not really ..
He's probably right tho .. not thought about it much TBH.
The train driver would have to live with the fact for the rest of his life tho.
The more they react the more he will continue.
I think it is a selfish act tho .. not considering the hurt and anguish to may others. There must be better ways to go than that.
No. It`s just that (after his last gaffe) every comment he utters will make it into the press.
He is correct in what He says,Yes, it does incovenience commuters, but, not very comforting to the poor relatives of the deceased.
I think He may have just crossed the line.
joking is one thing, but joking about possibly recently deceased souls is seriously not funny. But, publicity is what He will get.

Agree Albags, while it may seem as insensitive we all think about the person who committed suicide and not the people that find them or watch them do it and of course the people left behind.

Dave.
Yes .. lets hope he gets back on the right track.
Sorry, just read my input again, please ignore " He may have just crossed the line"
He's like an overgrown schoolboy. Very little sense.
How about the team that have to go on the tracks and clean up, I cannot even contemplate it - I do however feel so sorry for the relatives and train drivers. There is such a thin line between sanity and insanity.
I am so torn by this topic. I understand that sometimes people feel they can't go on any longer and the only way out is suicide. But - are they thinking of their families, friends, the people who have to deal with the trauma of finding them, or the people they involve such as train drivers they jump in front of? No, they are thinking only of themselves. Suicide is the ultimate selfish act. But - they must be desperate to do it and who am I to judge? I haven't been in that place of desperation. Maybe, just maybe, one or two potential suicides might stop to think following Jeremy Clarkson's comments and realise that yes, it is selfish and have second thoughts. My ex-husband killed himself 3 years ago and maybe if he'd thought more about the effect on those around him, rather than only considering his own feelings, he might not have done it.

The Train missed.........
Are we going to get headline news on every sentence he utters for the next week?
Hopefully not :) His mouth is quite big enough .

I agree with askyourgran . I equate to him to an overgrown schoolboy sniggering round the back of the bike sheds .Laddish in the extreme .He doesn't impress me at all .
I think he does it just to court controversy and hence get publicity .
It's about time he bought some new trousers too .All that beer gut hanging over his jeans .Bleugh .
As for his remarks about public service workers albeit in jest ..I sincerely hope that when he's in his dotage he won't need one to wipe his backside .
Sorry to hear that susie, not going to add any more to this subject.
Clarkson has written about this many times. This is not new news. This is the media bringing things up to suit their current agenda.

He also thinks fatal accidents on the motorway should be swept to the side so the traffic can keep moving.
No, not at all, you haven't upset me and I appreciate your consideration. I'd been divorced from him for many years, though we were still friendly. I'm thinking more of his second wife, who he married only a couple of years earlier and was the one who found him (hanging) which much have been so traumatic for her. It could easily have been my son who could have found him, he was staying with them at the time, but he'd thank goodness gone out for the day. My ex had had a serious mental breakdown and I know that he couldn't help it, but if only he could have put his wife and sons first instead of his own feelings...
Suicide is NOT selfish.
