Can anyone tell me if provisions have been made to ensure people from other countries arriving, ostensibly,to see the Olympic games, use their return tickets.Or will they be allowed to disappear into the British[English]woodwork?
Same as usual I would have thought. We get loads of visitors every year. I don't think they'll be electronically tagged if that's what you're wondering.
It'll be the same , but in reverse, of when we go abroad on holiday
WE do get" loads of visitors every year",like last year-trouble was many hundreds of thousands stayed here illegaly. We have a very serious problem here and we dont seem to be able to do anything about it.
You can safely assume to the answer to be "no"
How many visitors to Britain are there every year? How on earth can the UKBA - or anyone - be expected to ensure they all board there pre-booked flights home? If you think about it it would be an impossibility.
However, the vast majority of people who come to the UK actually have no wish to stay on in the country after their holiday.
