Recent TV news item showed a local artist producing one which I thought looked good
The coin explains the law as it was about 5 years ago. The rule is different now in as much as nobody. including refs, seem to understand it.
why don't they just print 'onside' on one side, and then 'offside' on the other.

then they can just toss a coin to decide who's right. a bit like now.
Does anyone really examine their coins carefully? Usually just spend mine in the local shops without really looking at them.
i still don't understand the offside rule and putting triangles and arrows on a 50p isn't helping
