I think it should be called a 'teentsy' because it is worth so littel
in fact a shilluns worth at 1973 - yes boys and gurlz the value of our money has fallen by a factor of ten since decimalisation
I remember one poster saying she was collecting the alphabet 10p coins. I hadn't heard of them up till then but as yet have never seen one. They issue so many"special coins" now that I don't think they will be worth that much anyway..
You may find one in your change but I doubt it. Anyone with any sense would put it to one side!
The royal mint has been flooded (metaphor) and no one will receive theirs until the mint can supply to the order.
Anyone ordering from Westminster Collection (Max 9 per household) will receive theirs after the 13th.
It seemed, it garuntee the coin it was worth going to westminster collection. To get the coin sooner it was best to go via the mint, although there were queues for the website (and they were slightly more expensive!)
We’ve got quite a few alphabet 10p’s and I also bought some which I framed for each of my kids. We’ve got quite a nice little collection of 50p’s and £2 coins, but no unusual £1 coins yet.
