Yes very very sad, and I can only second the condemnation of those who showed support for this killer, and also blamed the police's actions.
On the radio this morning, I listened to an early interview of PC David Rathband, and he was saying that without the support of his wife and family, he didn't know how he would have got through it.
It has been reported that his wife had left him, I can't imagine how she must feel now, could she have been stronger and stuck by him, could others have given more support?
Easy to say in hindsight I suppose, and don't we all say at times, "if only"?
I only hope that everyone close to him, and with help from the experts, can now rally together and help each other to come to terms with what has happened.
And in the years ahead can learn , not to forget, but to carry on and lead a happy and peaceful life, remembering all the good times before that 'madman' altered their lives for ever.
