What if some smart arsed hacker were to activate a defunct satellite to communicate with the (not) functional 'star wars' project..they are still up there... no need to go through Nasa etc..

My point exactly, Arksided. The possible scenario's are endless. The hackers took control of vehicles in space. They could have caused them to collide with other craft, re-programmed satellites etc.
If you've got the ability to hack NASA, the US military shouldn't be too much of a challenge as they've been hacked before by a Brit!
