I wonder if we will react in the same way that some did over the burning of the Koran?
Can one see us taking o the streets, attacking the Libyan Embassy, or even murdering folk, over this sacrilege?

Yes nothing to be concerned about, just a few graves destroyed by a very 'small' band of extremists, oh,and this of course.
Another 'small' group of people demonstrate over the burning of the Koran.

It's been a war, it's retribution by a thoughtless splinter group, it's wrong, and everyone's saying that. I can be seething that war graves have been desecrated - something we hold dear in this country - but I don't go around effing and blinding about it, or calling people savages, that doesn't do any good at all.
I wouldn't be angry with you - more sorry that you seem to live your life (and read your newspaper) with a daily sense of injustice and frustration about anything to do with foreign nationals.

My sense of injustice and frustration, as you say, is not only about foreign nationals as you state, but by the fact that many on here are slow to condemn the crimes of some foreign national's, but are quick to criticise and condemn their own countrymen, even myself for daring to read the Daily Mail or post news items that show up their friends misdemeanour's.
Had there been a stronger show of feelings over this news item, then there wouldn't have been a problem.

It's a disgraceful and horrific act, but frankly I'm kind of heartened by the fact that people aren't responding as hysterically as you seem to want them to be. It should be pretty obvious to someone with as much life experience as you that just because people are not gnashing their teeth and getting into rages over this incident, it does not mean they don't care or that they somehow condone it - in fact the implication is quite distasteful.
The new Libyan government has promised to track down and punish those responsible - which is about all they can do. Seeing as we have been sponsoring these people for a while, and we are already giving them our resources, we are apparently choosing to trust them. We may well live to regret it - and plenty on AB have predicted as such, but even if they are trustworthy, they couldn't really do much more than they are doing.
I fail to see what responding to an incident like this with knee-jerk gunboat/bomber diplomacy will do to help the situation.

The point being that we have our vandals too - and may due process catch up with them as with the Libyans. I sympathise with their Government and people at large, they didn't need such adverse publicity, not over something like this.
