If this advert is banned for being misleading, surely there are many more that should be banned for being misleading.

Take those adverts for cleaning products, the before and after shots, anyone can see that the after result is a brand new item.

Then the recent supermarket adverts for joints of meats, anyone seen such perfect examples of fat free and perfectly formed joints?

i think all those 2000% interest loan payday companies' adverts should be banned!

and that 'feed a family' ad explained that drinks and other items would be extra, and some people may need more ... i just liked the free recipes and help with budgeting!

The one that gets to me, is the one where the husband can't get the microwave door to open, after heating up some product which I've already forgotten

Instead of urgently trying to find a repair man, his wife tells him to inform the product that he knows it's only prepared with pure ingredients that contain no additives or preservatives or whatever, then the door will open.

There might be some merit to this commercial if it was funny - but it's not!

I agree with AOG on this one, I have often thought the same thing myself, imagine if it was a football match on and the wife was locked out , it would probably be classed as domestic abuse.

Most of the 'derogatory to men' ads cited here are for products where most of the Decision Makers are women; food, cleaning products etc

and how often does a man say to his female partner at the start of a Bank Holiday "here's an idea, lets go out tomorrow and choose a new coffee table"

As such, male annoyance is arguably a good sign; and those ads are successfully pandering to their core audience.

Referring to the comments from ojread2 and cathfromsaron regarding quick loans, there is one which appears on my screen from "Pounds Today". The repayment rate is 5570% (written in the tiniest print). My quick(slow) arithmetic tells me that if you manage to borrow £100 you will be required to pay approximately £107 in interest for each week you have the £100 loan. Can this be legal? - must be, if it's on the telly.
