No other serious issues other than Kashmir and the wars fought over it. The Pakistani govt sponsored terrorism in Kasmir has been a sore point for a long long time and although it seems to be on the wane and the Musharraf govt and the Indian govt is very keen to build real bridges, time will tell. Other than that there is very little difference between the two nations. Oh yes, their cricket rivalry is intense and almost like a war. Not just in cricket...most people forget their epic battles in field hockey. I think the best exponents of this sport.
kendria, sorry if you already know all this, but when India was generously granted independence from Britain (it had been civilised while the British were still painting themselves with woad), Pakistan was part of it; it broke away at the same time, to set up a Muslim state. In those days it included East and West Pakistan; the latter also broke away later to become Bangladesh. That first partition involved mass migration and bloodshed. Kashmir remains an unresolved boundary issue from this time.
