With as many as 100,000 women who have undergone this brutal genital mutilation illegally in Britain, why are the police failing to act against this barbaric practice?
/// The Metropolitan Police said since 2008, it had received 166 reports of people who fear they are at risk of FGM but it has failed to bring forward a single perpetrator. ///
/// It is the same for all 43 forces across England and Wales with no convictions for the offence ever taking place.///

Male circumcision is an entirely different matter to female circumcision.
On Males it is sometime necessarily performed on very young boys for medical reasons, one does not have to be Jewish.
But this female mutilation performed on Muslim females, is just part of their antiquated culture, which involves the surgical removal of external genitalia performed mainly to prevent any enjoyment from sex, and in some cases the total prevention of the sex act, carried out by the stitching of the vaginal opening, having the same purpose as the medieval European chastity belt.

AOG, Jewish and Muslim boys are circumcised as a matter of course - and unless it is carried out as a matter of medical necessity, I disagree with that too.
Sqad, neither ritual nor tradition are good enough reasons to carry out this horrendous practice - and whether performed by a surgeon or not, it is still mutilation.

\\\\\neither ritual nor tradition are good enough reasons to carry out this horrendous practice\\\\ that is your opinion to which you are entitled, but to the families of these "immigrants" it is a good enough reason.
So...they go to a backstreet mutilator OR in my suggestion a qualified doctor.

There is no compassion between the two.
Even if male circumcision is carried out for religious reasons, it has no adverse effect on the recipient, whereas female circumcision is genitalia mutilation and disfigurement, which will carry a damning and lasting emotional effect on the recipient for the rest of her life.
